Believe it or not, we are already anticipating the arrival of the fifth patch for League of Legends this year. Riot Games will be enhancing the performance of top laners in this round of adjustments, specifically Kennen, Aatrox, Tryndamere, and Rumble. Additionally, LeBlanc, Samira, Jinx, and Fizz are expected to receive buffs.
In a tweet on February 27, lead League designer Matt Leung-Harrison, who is more popularly known as Riot Phroxzon, presented a list of modifications that will soon be tested on the PBE servers and later applied to live servers on March 8.
Aside from the highly awaited Yuumi rework and necessary Gangplank downgrades, Patch 13.5 will enhance the performance of Kennen, Aatrox, Tryndamere, Rumble, LeBlanc, Samira, Jinx, Fizz, as well as the beloved item of battle mages – Cosmic Drive.
It’s difficult to predict the direction that League will take after Patch 13.5 is released, but if we pair these enhancements with scaling buffs and kill experience downgrades, Kennen and Tryndamere will likely thrive in the top lane.
Despite the spotlight being on the champions who received buffs, the most significant changes in this patch are in the jungle. The balancing team has significantly increased the gold earned per camp and eliminated damage reduction for enemy junglers. As a result, the jungle meta will become more diverse starting with Patch 13.5.
